The Disco Pant

This is the first Must Have  SwearByFashion post! Yayyy I hear you say!

Our first item is the disco pant! This item can be bought from American Apparel for £70. I know its quite a hefty price tage but they're worth every penny!

I bought a pair myself in the black. They are my best friends! I actually love them. I dress them down with a tie dye t-shirt (will be available in the SwearByFashion shop very soon) and converse or dress them up of a night with a blouse and a nice pair of flats and sometimes a blazer depending on the weather. The disco pants are also a hot favourite with celebrities!
For all colours and to purchase visit http://store.americanapparel.co.uk/rsaah300.html
Enjoy!

DIY Tie Dye Socks

'Tap into the tie-dye trend with these fun socks, they'll brighten up your feet!'
Urban Outfitters

Hi everyone! This is the tutorial for the socks I posted earlier. The socks above are from Urban Outfitters and will cost you £6.00. However I created 5 pairs of these at home and therefore made a HUGE saving!

So what do i need?

I bought this 5 pack of 100% cotton (takes in dye better) socks from Primark for £2.
Rubber Bands
Dylon Flamingo Pink Fabric Dye
(I got mine off eBay)

You will also need: A Bucket, 250g salt and Water!
Step 1 - Dampen Socks
Step 2 - Tie Socks
Follow pictures below for the stripe swirl design! i posted pictures for this as they are the trickiest!

Step 3 - Dissolve dye into 500ml of warm water (40 degrees celcius)

Step 4 - Add 6 litres of warm water (40 degrees celcius) and 250g salt to a bucket.
Step 5 - Add the dye mixture to the water
Step 6- Put socks into dye and leave to soak for 45 minutes!
I put other stuff in there to dye as well!
Step 7- After 45 minutes take out of dye and rinse with cold water, then put in wash on quick cycle, then leave to dry! and hey presto, you have tye dye socks!

This is the stripe swirl design but want something more similar to the urban outfitters deign then look at the pivcture below!

I achieved this design by following all of the steps above, however when it came to tying the socks I scrunched the sock into a ball then randomly tied elastics around the ball! i must admit, I'm rather impressed with the results!
